Legacy data can come virtually from everywhere. **Figure 1 indicates that the various sources which you may get legacy data. The common source of legacy data includes existing databases, XML, Services, Flat files, Configuration files etc. There is often more gaining access to legacy data than simply writing an SQL query against an existing relational database.

This analysis helps to identify the gap between the legacy application and core banking platform and that leads to develop plans for modernizing the application that needs to be retained.

Design and development of migration tool

 

The next important step is to study the tool to be built for convert the legacy application to the new core banking platform. The result from the analysis is used to identify the tool and interface requirement for integrating the legacy application with core banking platform. Another step in this stage is to develop a mapping mechanism for the data migration.

Hand Holding & Help Desk

Takyon offers a series of interactive training modules and hand holding support to train on the banking application. The hand-holding support is to be provided to the branches migrated from old system to B@ncs24 (CBS) at different branches of the Bank across the country.

The details of the work we are doing are as under:

  • Handholding by Takyon’s personnel for the bank staff in implementation of all modules in B@ncs-24 including User Creation/modification, Customer creation, SB, CA, CC, OD, TD, TL, Clearing, Remittances, Bills, Trade Finance, L/C, BG, Inventory Management, CMS, GBM, Loan Originating System, EOD/BOD activities, Office Accounts maintenance, Government Business Reports generation and printing, printing of Passbook/Pass Sheet/DD/PO/FDRs etc.
  •  Providing next level of support on site in resolving issues within committed time.
  •  Takyon’s personnel shall be available on site before branch going live under CBS and shall provide services up to the end of the week there from.
  • Accompanying the Banking Helpdesk, there are consecrate banking helpdesk services which increase the efficiency and convenience of your company, by providing live customer support availability 24/7-365 offering a variety of services including: technical support for computer related issues, server related issues, application assistance and support for employees, and complete start-to-finish automation of processes ranging from simple financial transactions to credit analysis and account processing.
